About WehrApp
The WehrApp is a mobile application that can be used to manage clothing within a fire department.
Clothing becomes contaminated during use, it has to be cleaned, it ends up in the clothing pool and it is worn by military personnel.
It is extremely useful to know the clothing status in the pool or to be able to see which items of clothing are in the dry cleaners and how long they have been there.
Knowing the inventory, for example to know whether all relevant sizes are in stock, also helps to ensure that the fire departments operational readiness is not jeopardized due to a lack of clothing.Nowadays, clothing management is mostly carried out on paper or in Excel.
This is a lot of manual work, because the clothing items themselves are identified by long code numbers that have to be read manually and transferred to paper or Excel, for example.
In addition, clothing management is dependent on military personnel always informing them of any change in clothing (e.g.
after contamination during deployment).
The WehrApp simplifies these processes by automating clothing management.
Military members only need to scan the barcode of their clothing with the WehrApp (via the camera function) and conveniently display the change at the touch of a button.
Clothing supervisors can immediately see what the current clothing status is using automatically generated overviews.
There is also an inventory function.
