VESS for Android – Latest Version & Features

The Visual Soil Structure Assessment (VESS) is a paddle test where a grade is assigned to the soil based on its physical quality, the criteria for such a note are the natural aggregates present, pores, roots, and other physical characteristics.
The grade can vary from Qe1 (great) to Qe5 (bad).
In order to carry out the VESS, a letter is taken to the field where a description of the procedure on one side and the other the 5 levels of quality with images are used, where a measurement is made to aid in the conclusion of the note.
From this note, which is semi-quantitative, one can see several things in relation to the soil, such as agricultural potential, productivity, management, etc.
