Born on 1st July 1949 in Chavatapalem in the Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh, hewas initiated into mainstream politics very early in his student days.
The Jai AndhraMovement in 1972 brought him to limelight.
He championed the cause of farmersand development of backward areas all during his political journey.
His illustriouscareer as people’s representative first as a two time MLA from Udayagiri in Nelloredistrict, Rajya Sabha in 2004 and 2010 has been marked by a selfless service whichhas always been Nation First and Last.
