Smallholder farmers are eligible to apply for input financing loans between $100-$2000 mainly to purchase agricultural inputs.
Smallholder farmers apply for loans through the field agents on Velociti by providing basic KYC answers such as purpose of loan, amount requesting, location and personal data such as name, contact number and address.
Repayment of loans are either in cash or in kind with agricultural commodities equivalent to the loan principal plus interest.
Loan tenor is between 6-9 months depending on crop type the farmer is cultivating and interest rate is between 3%-3.5% per month.
