Sri Koil Kanthadai Sudhasatvam Sirupuliyur Thiruvazhi Annan Swamy Thirumaligai is one of the oldest Sri Vaishnava religious institution.
This thirumaligai follows the Thenkalai tradition of Sri Vaishnava culture.
The thirumaligai traces its roots to Sri Komandur Elayavilli Achan, one of the 74 Simhaasanapathis appointed by Sri Ramanujar.
He is also one of the maternal cousins (son of mothers sister) of Sri Ramanujar similar to Sri Embar.There have been several great Acharyas like Sri Sudhasathvam Annan, Sri Thiruvazhi Annan Pattarachariyar who belong to this lineage.
They have done several services to the Sri Vaishnava tradition to protect the Prameyams (temples) as well as Pramaanams (Granthams).
Some of the important Granthas written by the Acharyas belonging to this Thirumaaligai are Katinamathadeepikai, Sadhanushtanatharpanam, Haridhina krithya viveham, Yavana padha vilakkam.
This Thirumaaligai (vamsam) comprises of 3 primary Thirumaaligais namely Sirupuliyur, Sriperumbudur and Srivilliputhur.Sri U.Ve.
Koil Kanthadai Suddhasathvam Thiruvazhi Annan Swamy is the Present head of Sirupuliyur Kanthadai thirumaligai.
Born in the month of Panguni, in the star of Moola nakshatram, aged 92 years, Swamy is a living legend of Sri Vaishnava Sampradhayam having both Gnana poorthi and Anushtaana poorthi.This App shows the Thaniyans and Vazhi Thirunaamam of all the Acharyas belonging to this Thirumaaligai.
