শবে মিরাজ হল সেই রাত যেদিন আল্লাহ্‌ সুবহানাহু ওয়া তালা তার প্রিয় রাসুলকে নিজের কাছে ডেকে নিয়েছিলেন। সব আসমান পেরিয়ে মহান প্রভুর সান্নিধ্যে যাওয়া রাতের সফরই ‘মেরাজ’। কুরআনে যাকে ইসরা হিসেবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। মসজিদে হারাম থেকে যে সফরের শুরু হয়েছিল। বায়তুল মুকাদ্দাস হয়ে একে একে সাত আসমান ও সিদরাতুল মুনতাহা পেরিয়ে রফরফ নাম বিশেষ বাহনে আরশে আজিমে আল্লাহর প্রেমময় সান্নিধ্যে গিয়েছিলেন মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম। কুরআনুল কারিমে মহান আল্লাহ এ ঘটনার আলোকপাত করেন এভাবে-سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُপরম পবিত্র ও মহিমাময় সত্তা তিনি, যিনি স্বীয় বান্দাকে (মুহাম্মাদ সা.) রাতের বেলায় মসজিদে হারাম থেকে মসজিদে আকসা পর্যান্ত ভ্রমণ করিয়েছিলেন। যার চার দিকে আমি পর্যাপ্ত বরকত দান করেছি যাতে আমি তাঁকে কুদরতের কিছু নিদর্শন দেখিয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি পরম শ্রবণকারী ও দর্শনশীল।’ (সুরা বনি ইসরাঈল : আয়াত ১)কুরআনুল কারিমে ঘোষিত এ মেরাজই লাইলাতুল মেরাজ বা শবে মেরাজ। লাইলাতুন বা শব অর্থ হলো- রাত আর মেরাজ অর্থ উর্ধ্বগমন। শবে মেরাজ বা লাইলাতুল মেরাজের অর্থ দাঁড়ায়- ঊর্ধ্বগমনের রাত। হজরত মুহাম্মাদুর রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম আল্লাহ তাআলার বিশেষ ব্যবস্থাপনায় সশরীরে জাগ্রত অবস্থায় হজরত জিবরিল ও মিকাইল আহিমুস সালামের সঙ্গে প্রথমে মসজিদুল হারাম থেকে মসজিদুল আকসায় যান। সেখান থেকে তিনি আল্লাহর সান্নিধ্যে উর্ধ্ব জগতের রওয়ানা হন।এই এপ্সে শবে মিরাজ সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়েছে।ইসলামিক জ্ঞান অর্জনের একটা ভালো মাধ্যম হতে পারে এই শবে মিরাজ অ্যাপ্সটি।আমরা পর্যায়ক্রমে আরো ফিচার যুক্ত করব ইনশা আল্লাহ। Shab e Mirajalso known as Al-Isra Wal-Miraj and the Night of Miraj.

During Al-Isra Wal-Miraj, Jibraeel (as) stopped the Buraq and told our beloved Prophet (ﷺ) to pray at several places to emphasize the importance of visiting the places in which Allah (swt) bestowed His bounties upon His pious people.
From praying near the tree where Allah spoke to Musa, by praying on Mount Sinai, where Allah gave the revelation of the Torah, the grave of Musa (as) and at Bethlehem, where Isa (as) was born.
