This institution and its successor institutions served the marginalization and exclusion, up to the persecution and extermination of people: Among other things, there was a so-called homeless asylum during the Weimar Republic, a transit camp and a police prison in the GDR, a venereological station Social home and a psychiatric ward.
The initiative group Riebeckstraße 63 is committed to creating a living place of remembrance at this location.
