The free Primeira Pedra application is a valuable research and knowledge platform that presents in an orderly way all the constituent elements of the Primeira Pedra program, providing information on the main actions and events that took place between 2016 and 2022, as well as on each participant and their respective projects.Primeira Pedra was an international experimental research program that explored the potential of Portuguese Stone. Focused on the absolutely unique physical-mechanical and aesthetic characteristics of the various types of Stone that make up the geological landscape of Portugal, Primeira Pedra combined production with design through the development of innovative uses of this unique material, thus enhancing its quality and the broad national industry. which is linked to its extraction and transformation.Remaining faithful to its objective of revealing the possibilities of Pedra Portuguesa, together with the socio-cultural reality that its industry integrates, Primeira Pedra has collaborated over these 6 years with Portuguese and international architects, designers and artists.
