On a walk with Aletta takes you on an adventurous journey through the city centre of Groningen.
The walk "On a walk with Aletta" is the story of Aletta Jacobs and the Groninger history of healthcare.
The route starts at the Forum Groningen, is about 4 kilometers long and takes you along hidden guest houses, the hospital and other beautiful spots in the city of Groningen that have something to do with the health and healthcare.
You learn more and more about healthcare in the time Aletta Jacobs was alive and our own time with every step you take.The walk "Tracing the times of the Academy - the Eastern section" takes you along university history in the eastern side of the city centre.
Of course there is also regard to the history of the city of Groningen itself and the Groningen of now.
We walk from the Academy building along for example: the Roode Weeshuis, the Grote Markt, Forum, the Martinikerkhof, the Prinsentuin, UMCG and the Ossenmarkt.The walk "Tracing the times of the Academy - the Western section" takes you along in the western side of the city centre, also starting in front of the Academy building.
