The association was established in the State of Kuwait in 1979 by a group of Kuwaiti doctors to help patients, and at that time was a committee affiliated with the Charitable Survival Society, which it embraced graciously and supported its various activities, and was then called the Patient Benefit Fund.

(282) adopted at its meeting No.
11/2005 on 3/20/2005, it was agreed that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor would announce the Patient Benefit Fund Association an independent public benefit association, which was announced by Ministerial Resolution No.
91/2005 On 5/6/2005, as its bid grew and its achievements in health development increased with its comprehensive concept of the various segments of society.
The affairs of the association are managed by a board of directors consisting of seven members who are elected by the general assembly once every two years.
