This app is to be used by medical professionals such as Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Echocardiographer and experts involved with Heart Team discussions prior to Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) / Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) treatment.
The app generates a range of percentage (%) under/oversizing of bioprosthetic Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) sizes based on MSCT derived aortic annulus diameters in mm2.The ultimate THV implant size decision for an individual patient treatment should be based on the heart team (subject matter experts) decision and may incorporate conventional MSCT based aortic root measurements, presence and extent of calcium and other important anatomical factors which impact final procedural and clinical outcomes.
