From the early 60s to the mid-90s, the Soviet beer bar Ladya, known to everyone as the legendary and wild Pit, worked here.
The first beer machines in the Union were installed in the Pit, and the protagonist of the film Beware of the Car, Yuri Detochkin, accepted declarations of love from investigator Podberezovik.
This fact is often refuted, but it is known for certain that it was from the door of the Pit that both heroes went out into Stoleshnikov Lane, swaying picturesquely.
