MOODS Research Study by MD2K for Android – Latest Version & Features

The MOODS app is for residents of the United States who are participating in the MOODS study being conducted by the MD2K Center of Excellence at the University of Memphis.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be adults, who agree to wear a study-provided Wear OS smartwatch for 100 days, install this MOODS app and Wear OS app on their smartphone, use the MOODS app daily to review detected stress events and recall the stressors, review the weekly study-provided visualizations showing patterns in their stress and stressors, and complete weekly surveys.
This study is designed to advance extant research in the objective, automatic detection of stress and stressors via mobile sensors in a holistic manner that advances science in several domains.
For this purpose, the MOODS app collects sensor and self-reported data from the study-provided smartwatch and via the MOODS app on the smartphone.
These data are uploaded to the MD2K Center’s computer servers for use in research.
The MOODS app will collect data and provide data analysis only for the duration of the study.
