Pairer App for Meross Devices for Android – Latest Version & Features

Custom Pairer is the app that allows you to manually pair/configure Meross Devices with your local MQTT broker.
In fact, while official Meross App allows you to pair Meross hardware to your Meross account, it does not allow you to override any other option, such as a the MQTT broker address.
That obliges the user to configure the Meross hardwre device to use an active internet connection and makes it impossible to use Meross devices if there is no internet connection alive.
This limitation not only prevents some specific use cases, but also implies some important reliability problems when the internet connection is not stable enough.
Moreover, the Meross official MQTT broker implements very strict checks on MQTT message rates and API calls, that prevents systems as HomeAssistant from integrate with that (leading to the users account ban, when the limits are reached).The main objective of this App is to enable users to pair their Meross hardware devices to their own LAN-Only private MQTT brokers.
More specifically, the current version of this app is capable of integrating with the Alberto Geniolas Meross-Local-Addon (https://github.com/albertogeniola/meross-homeassistant/tree/local-addon).
Expert users who know how to deal with Meross protocol and want to setup their own MQTT broker, can also rely on this app to perform pairing by specifying the custom UserId and Key values.
