This tool is designed for both technicians and the general public with a simplified approach to estimate the number of necessary BTUs to ensure air conditioning comfort in a room.
Our objective is clearly not to give the exact amount of BTUs because to do so a real dynamic thermal simulation has to be performed.
In this case, a lot of detail parameters have to be taken into account (thermal properties of the room, detail geometry, dynamic of the air inside the room, external temperature, etc).
This kind of simulation would take a lot of time and is usually done on the whole building or house to ensure the dependency of each internal space.
