Based on his name and charity fund the college is known as "Pramukh Swami Science College".After that the college started Arts faculty.
In 1991, Shri Hargovinddas Memorial Trust, Mehsana gave financial support and it is known as "Hargovinddas Dhanabhai Patel Arts College".
The expansion of educational opportunities provided by the Trust is phenomenal, fast and prolific.
The trust believes in moving with time appreciating societal needs.
