Semmelweis HELP is a decision support tool created by Semmelweis University specialists, creating a unique and authentic medical knowledge base on an international level.
With the help of the knowledge base and an algorithm, the system gives a suggestion as to how serious the user is with a health problem based on the detected symptoms and how quickly he needs to use medical care (alleviation of symptoms at home, at the time of a family doctors appointment, emergency care, calling 112) .
Semmelweis HELP does not provide a diagnosis, our goal is to help Hungarian families make decisions about their health.
The application is currently suitable for checking the symptoms of people under the age of 18, but the university would like to extend it to adults as well.The result obtained is not a diagnosis or a qualified medical opinion, because the symptoms may be caused by other factors, which require a more thorough examination, laboratory tests or imaging studies.
