Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar established in 1990 and affiliated to MSBTE, had celebrated silver jubilee in 2014.
The institute is approved by All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).The institute has excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, training and placement cell, class rooms, girl’s and boy’s hostel.
The institute has a team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties and non-teaching staff devoted to achieve excellence in every activity of the institute.

The institute is surrounded by two MIDCs namely Nagapur MIDC (12 km) and Supa MIDC (20 km).
Ahmednagar is home of Indian Armored Corps Centre & School(ACC&S), Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre(MIRC) and Vehicle Research and Development Establishment(VRDE).The institute is located at 0.5 km at Burudgaon road which is 0.5 km away from Swastik bus stand.
