About The Mystery Of Art
Using Augmented Reality, the app showcases location-based digital sculptures devised by these artists specifically for the Sculpture Garden’s location.
It is a collaboration between Falmouth University, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens and three different artists in part funded by the Research Council UK.
Using your phone, you can reveal the different digital works of these artists in-situ as you travel around the gardens.
Penny Florence’s work brings digital poetry and visual interpretation to the gardens, dialoguing with some of the physical sculptures already present.
Jonathan Kearney’s digital sculpture explores the hidden artefacts in photography and out of these creates diaphanous shimmering veils that work with the landscape in augmented context.
A detailed digital scan of one of Seamus Moran works is scaled up to a huge proportion to present us with a new perspective on his very material sculpture.
Each of these artists use digital technology and augmented reality in different ways, creating a new and intriguing layer of mystery within the heart of this spectacular garden.
