This tool integrates tangible physical elements with virtual models to create an augmented reality experience in real time.
The activity guide contains image triggers that are read by the mobile app to provide an enriched visualization of all the phases of mitotic division.
The app is designed to be used on any tablet or smartphone.
3D Mitotic Division can be used a teaching and learning tool by secondary as well as higher education teachers and students, particularly for teaching the fundamentals of biology to students in biological sciences, health care, and teaching university programs.
Mitotic division is an essential content in cell biology since it helps understand some of the aspects of cell reproduction in both single-celled and multicellular eukaryotic organisms, and its relationship with tissue maintenance and regeneration processes in multicellular organisms.
