About Digitavox USP
Digitavox USP is a typing course aimed mainly at people with visual impairments that, through speech, guides and guides the user in typing exercises on an ABNT2 standard keyboard.
It is possible to track progress throughout the course with statistics on correct answers and response times.To use the application, you need an ABNT2 standard keyboard (with cable) and a USB to micro USB or USB-C adapter, also known as an OTG connector, depending on the cell phone model.This application is based on the original Digitavox software, developed by Neno Henrique da Cunha Albernaz, in his 2011 masters degree at UFRJ, and widely used by institutions that support people with visual impairments.The current version of the application was developed by the Information Technology Superintendency of the University of São Paulo, with updated vocalization and multiplatform technologies.
This version was supported, specified, validated and is being disseminated by institutions that serve people with visual impairments, such as: Lar das Moças Cegas, Bengala Verde, Adeva, Santa Catarina Association for the Integration of the Blind, Coordination of Educational Actions CAED da Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Permanent Commission on Accessibility and Inclusion at Unesp, Dean of Inclusion and Belonging at USP, Department of Biomaterials and Oral Biology at the Faculty of Dentistry at USP and the State Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disability of the Government of São Paulo.
