The system can be used to estimate the dental age of children between 3 and 16 years old.
Panoramic radiograph is necessary to identify the developmental stages of the seven mandibular teeth on the left side (excluding third molars).
In case of tooth agenesis or tooth loss in the left side of the mandible, the contralateral tooth in the right side should be considered.
