Octave Crémazie was a 19th century Quebec poet.
Born on April 16, 1827 in Quebec, he is considered one of the founding fathers of Quebec literature and one of the precursors of the French-Canadian literary movement.
Crémazie is best known for his lyrical and romantic poetry, which celebrates the beauty of nature, love, country and traditional values.
