CheMIST for Android – Latest Version & Features

The application CheMIST is designed as an integral part of my book: Equilibria in Analytical Chemistry - workbook (in Serbian: Ravnoteze u analitickoj hemiji - zbirka zadataka).
CheMIST consists of four tools: 1.) Equation solver is a tool designed for calculating roots of three common types of polynomials.
While it uses standard formulas for calculating square roots and cube roots, it uses Laguerre’s interpolation for calculating roots of quartic function (fourth degree polynomial function).
2.) Ideal gas calculator uses ideal gas equation for calculations.
You need to input three parameters of state (out of four- pressure, volume, temperature, and the amount of substance) and it will calculate the fourth parameter.
3.) pH calculator is designed for pH calculations of strong and weak acids (bases) and buffers.
It takes into account hydronium ions from water autodissociation.
The buffer pH is calculated using Henderson–Hasselbalch equation.
4.) Concentration calculator can be very useful tool for laboratory work and for basic calculations in chemistry - making solutions from solids or liquids and dilution.
