AbxBMI® is an application, designed by the multidisciplinary group of doctors Antibiogarde®, with the scientific partnership of the Société de Pathologie Infectieuse de Langue Française (SPILF).The objective of AbxBMI® is to propose, based on data from the scientific literature, recommendations for adjusting the dosage of the main antibiotics according to the patients weight and in particular in a situation of obesity.AbxBMI calculates for a given patient his BMI (BMI: Body Mass Index), his Ideal weight (IBW: Ideal Body Weight), his adjusted weight (ABW: Adjust Body Weight) as well as his lean weight (LBW Lean Body Weight) and proposes for a given antibiotic, a dosage adapted according to the usual dose indicated for a patient of normal weight.This application is intended for use by healthcare professionals.
