Can no longer sign in to Google Play for cloud saves... disappointed. One of the best games of all time, ruined for such a small reason.

One of the best RPG's of all time!
I've now lost all of my progress AGAIN. I bought the game without google playpass and, after beating most of the game for a second time, I can't leave the area I'm in without the game crashing and closing before I can even press the "send feedback" button. Beautiful game, but this is the SECOND time I've lost days of progress.
Kotor is the greatest ever
It's a great game obviously, one of my favorites of all time. But can someone explain to why Google would block their own game service?? I was hoping to transfer my game save to another device without having to dig in to a bunch of files.
Doesn't work. Says it's blocked by my phone.
