Ustaz Azhar Idrus was born on 12 February 1964 in Kampung Ladang, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu Darul Iman.Ustaz Azhar received his early education at Sekolah Rendah Hj Mohd Sharif, Alor Star, Kedah.
After graduating from primary level, he continued his studies at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Darulaman, Alor Star, Kedah until Form 2.
When he entered Form 3, he moved to his home state in English school, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Sulaiman, Kuala Terengganu until graduated from form 6.He has received religious education by talaqqi with several religious teachers around Kuala Terengganu [1].
