Fulora android Mobile Application - A Platform to report students’ foundational literacy and numeracy levelsDistrict Primary Education Department, Zilha Parishad, GadchiroliFulora program focuses every child to develop foundation literacy numeracy before they jump into the graded curricular course in elementry grades and activities.
The activity-based teaching focuses and support individual child in school, strengthen the base of child, gives confidence to take up regular curriculum confidently.
In order to achieve this goal, this initiative has been implemented in Zilla Parishad schools of class 2nd to 8th using active teaching and learning.
The objectives of the flora are to improve the reading and writing and basic mathematical skills of students from class II to class VIII and to capacitate teachers with the aim of enhancing the teaching style in the classroom.
In this activity, emphasis is laid on the development of 6 skills of language i.e., initial, letters, consonants, words, sentences, paragraphs and 7 skills of mathematics i.e., initial, number recognition, numeracy, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Based on the above skills, students are classified into 3 levels by taking a basic test.
At this level they are taught properly.
Balbhavana equipped with all the educational materials which are used to teach linguistic and mathematical concepts has been created in addition to action-oriented teaching and learning.
The Fulora android mobile application and web-based platform is an efficient tech based real time monitoring system.
1500+ schools from district reports the 65000+ children learning status of elementary grade.
Various analytical reports from this system helps education officials to take need base rapid decisions and supportive actions that are needed for teachers and schools to achieve 100% FLN capacity of the children in district.
The offline features of Fulora application addresses the poor network challenges situation of the vicinity and strengthen the digital literacy and analytical capacities of the users.
