Remote Training Platform for Android – Latest Version & Features

The Remote Training Platform created by VIOMERSE (RTP) enables a student or a group of students to receive hands-on instruction from a proctor teaching from a remote location.
The initial release of this technology is intended to train students on realistic anatomical models (phantoms) where both proctor and student practice on the same phantom and medical device.
The platform uses proprietary teleconferencing software and augmented reality (AR) headset hardware to connect the student with the proctor to simulate an in-person training environment.
The software also enables real-time sharing of live medical and web-cam line-of-sight imaging to enhance the training environment.VIOMERSE sought to develop the RTP when clinician travel to meetings to participate in hands-on-training workshops was not possible.
The Company leveraged its greater than 60 years’ experience in hands-on training and innovative medical device and technical expertise to develop the RTP.The RTP is an affordable complete system for remote surgical training with four key components:● Augmented reality headset● Laptop● Device connection hub● Teleconferencing softwareThe System travels easily and is packaged in a briefcase that contains the above-listed equipment along with cables and connectors readily allowing plug and play to a wide array of live medical imaging including ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and digital camera devices.
The RTP package consists of two cases containing all of the equipment permitting the two-way communication as described.
This will allow a key opinion leader, with one RTP and the Company’s phantom customized for a medical device or procedure, to teach a student remotely who has the same equipment.
The RTP is not intended, at this time, for clinical use.
