This is the official application of the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica to validate vaccination certificates with QR in Costa Rica.
The Costa Rican vaccination certificate uses the European Union technological model, which in its digital version can be stored on a mobile device.
Citizens can also request a paper version.
Both will have a QR code that will contain essential information, as well as a digital signature to ensure that the certificate is authentic.
This application reads that QR code and verifies completely offline that the QR contains these essential data and that it has been signed by the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica.
If positive, it validates that the vaccination data contained correspond to the criteria of a complete vaccination scheme according to the Costa Rican Ministry of Health, criteria published on the official website https://www.ministeriodesalud.go.crThe application requires the use of the camera only to read the Health certificate (QR code) in Costa Rica, the data is not processed, stored or shared.The internet permission is only so that the user can see the terms and conditions and privacy policies within the application, however the application can work without internet.
