Morse Decoder decodes Morse code characters through the built-in microphone of your Android device.Morse Decoder can be used by Ham Radio (Amateur Radio) operators or anyone else interested in decoding Morse code from a Radio or any other device.Morse Decoder includes a "waterfall" to show a frequency spectrum of about 50Hz to 2300Hz. A narrow band DSP filter can be set for the frequency of the Morse code tones by tapping the waterfall. The DSP filter is followed by an automatic gain control (AGC) to compensate for changing signal strengths. The detected signal will be shown as a graph and several algorithms will then detect the speed of the Morse code and convert them into readable text. Speeds of less than 4 Wpm (Words per Minute) to more than 50 Wpm can be decoded. For any question please visit our new forum at http://www.wolphi.com/forum/This is the first version of Morse Decoder. It has been tested on several Android devices and it performed very well or even better than PC based decoding software. However, since we are not able to test the performance on all 150+ Android devices there is the possibility that Morse Decoder will not work on all devices. If Morse Decoder doesn’t work on your device you can uninstall Morse Decoder within 15 Minutes for a full refund (This is the time frame given by Google and I am not able to change it). If the 15 minutes passed and you are not happy with Morse Decoder email me as soon as possible at [email protected]. Please include your name and the model of your phone in the email. I will then refund you the money as fast as possible. It is important that you include the model of your device. I will try to find the cause for the malfunction or include your phone model in a list of “not working” devices.added privacy policy

I find this works very well. Have no problems with it decoding 😀

No user adjustments found other than where it listens. It locked on the op at 35 wpm but never could decode him. Maybe as the author improves it I'll try it again.

I spent ages trying to get a single character decoded - using numerous YouTube videos as source sound, the graph clearly showed very square signal peaks when the waterfall was correctly set (I also use Droid PSK so I'm familiar with tuning the waterfall), but I never got so much as a single char decoded. The text box just stayed blank. Two stars because of the waterfall and the graph - zero for the lack of actual translation :/

Using digitally generated sentences it failed to decode any single words. On a generated string of the alphabet with spaces in between each letter it succeeded on every letter at 10 wpm. Take out the spaces and it fails after the letter C.

I knew after I tried it that It was a keeper. I am using it with the Wolphi interface and AT&T 8 inch tablet Trek HD Lollipop 4.0. My interface is modified with a single resistor & capacitor to work with the tablet. The rig is the Elecraft K2. I will notify Wolphi on exactly what I had to do to make it work - no big deal if you can solder. I plan to use this CW copy program at a demonstration event outside with my radio club . I will also demo RTTY and PSK31 with the same tablet and interface. The AT&T tablet would not recognize the interface without the modification. AF5U

I'm using this app with my fully restored Drake R8 receiver. I have my receiver hooked up to a good external speaker, and if I want to find out what the CW says I just put my phone in front of speaker, set the slider and starts right up. Very easy to use, works as good as the MFJ reader. Well worth it for me.

Works well
