WPD Power Cut Reporter at Google Play market analyse
Estimation application downloads and cost
Useless. Wouldn't recognise postcode Map was blank. Just use the website.
Previously, I would go to the WPD site and report a problem and receive updates by text message. That service is no longer available, instead there's this app. Which doesn't work at THE ONE JOB it is supposed to do. I can't report a power cut, it says "Please check your postcode" when I try to report a problem. I have checked, and the postcode is correct. Trying to view current outages throws up an error. Maybe put the old Web service back online while you're getting the app fixed, WPD.
Frustrating! Says our postcode does not exist. House was built over 70 years ago. Nobody else has this problem!
Won't recognise my postcode or any postcode in the area. Won't send a report with a "valid" postcode. I suggest they chat to the Royal Mail and update their database!
Useless app, better off using the website than this rubbish
Absolutely useless, doesn't recognise perfectly valid postcodes and dropping a map pin in areas within WPDs coverage doesn't work. End up just getting directed to call them anyway, so why install it in the first place?
Woeful. App reports it cannot fetch incidents although location services are enabled. Unable to report power cuts as it does not recognise any post codes. Defaults map to the world (does Western Power supply all of the UK?). After power cycling it reported it could not fetch incidents then our incident suddenly appeared . Embedded 'what to do' videos don't play as they are 'private'. What can I say? Was any testing done on this app? 1 star review because I cannot give zero
