Recording road videos since 2009, DailyRoads Voyager works as a car blackbox, dash cam or auto DVR, continuously capturing videos and photos during your journeys. The app automatically records everything, but only important events are retained for future reference or as evidence. You get to choose what to keep, simply by touching the screen, even while you drive. The video evidence can be invaluable in case of accidents, insurance fraud, police abuse, protection from crash-for-cash scams and differences of opinion with other drivers.Key features:- Continuous video recording, with user-defined length and video quality; sound can be included- User-defined storage space on the SD card with cyclic recording; i.e. the card never fills up- One-touch video protection allows you to keep video files for interesting road events during the whole journey- Auto-protect video upon sudden shock (e.g. accident); configurable g-force sensitivity- Automatically capture photos at user-defined intervals and resolutions; great for time-lapse photography- Background video/photo capture, with optional buttons over other applications- Auto start and shutdown based on car dock detection, Bluetooth and other options- Videos/photos are timestamped & geotagged- Automatically determine street address of protected videos/photos- Display videos/photos location on a map- Display speed, elevation, timestamp and GPS coordinates on videos/photos- Option to change speed units (km/h, mph) and date format- Overheating protection- GPS can be disabled to reduce power consumption- Brightness adjustment option allows less distraction when driving at night- Built-in file manager, video/photo browser- Add title/description/bookmark to files- Camera selection after installation- Uploads to Google Drive, Dropbox, DailyRoads and custom servers- App2SDPro version: - no ads- camera selection after installation- uploads to Google Drive, Dropbox and custom servers- option to automatically start the app after device boot and Bluetooth connection- 1000 video overlay credits on the serverEnjoy, and have a safe journey!Working combinations of video settings on various phone models: https://dailyroads.app/voyager-pro/statsReviews: https://dailyroads.app/voyager-pro/reviewsInteractive demo of our future plans: http://future.dailyroads.comAdded Bluetooth as auto-start and auto-stop options

Great stable app to make a dash cam from your phone

Great if you get a phone holder for your dashboard. Just changed phones and can't figure out how to mute the video start / stop sound though

Great app been using the free version for years and decided to help fund it as it's do good via this version.. Would be even better if there was a slight delay of 5 seconds in the auto startup when powered via usb to avoid false starts. Also a start only in landscape would be good. Plus can the developer add a feature to automatically start and stop location services (GPS) on the device as I often forget. Re the developer's response comments: Surely on the "Pro" version you could enable the control of the GPS. If a user wants a dashcam with an upload facility in the event of an accident, it will rely on speed and GPS positioning. Any serious dashcam app user is not going to worry about device tracking as its the whole point! I see why you think this, but consider that having the software control the camera and audio is far greater a security risk on a mobile from a users perspective, and this feature is something I'd expect from a dashcam anyway. Understandable on the Freeware version from a "trial" perspective. Please add it! Also re the auto "startup" in landscape while docked feature, the app seems to startup even in portrait when I connect the power and "beeps" as though its starts to record and shuts down. The options in settings in this regard are very confusing... can you separate "horizontal" and "vertical" please, both options mention it - so I'm unsure which I'm choosing, I think its correct!

Hi, Looking this app...I am not seeing the gps data or map when reviewing the video file...dont need it to be overlayed on the video ...but where is the data stored and how do you know if the file has collected the data? its shows the gps symbol (round with dot in) and it has a drop pin location icon ...but when opening ..no map..and when reviewing on GPS pc programs they state that no gps data available ...is this down to gps signal ...?...if I can get this working I think this will be a really useful app :)

Brilliant dashcam app that works great in the background or foreground even on my little android 4 satnav that only has 512mb ram. It has lots of features, a lot more than I expected, and I can leave it recording in the background while I use other apps. The developer has responded to some questions I had and has been great, this app is definitely the best dashcam app I have tried and is the one I use daily.

I use this on the bike and car, really good camera quality with the stabilisation enabled

Not really functional. It overheats my galaxy S9 worse than if I sat it on the sun @ noon. Have it set to maximum storage, 120 minutes for video recording, my phone has 64 gb worth of storage with only 35 gb used so far, yet it will only record 11mnts 52secs each trip. Paid $5 for this although not big deal feels like a waste of money. Deleting app, you can keep the money.
