Excellent for meditation, relaxation, and visual dreaming at any time.It comes with 200 download credits built-in (twice as many as in v1.4), each good for one sheep. After they run out you can get more credits with an in-app purchase (for half the price). After downloading the initial flock, you should get a few more each day.The app is specially designed to minimize power consumption. With normal use it should have no measurable impact on the battery, however when its first installed and is downloading the initial flock it takes more power. It has an option to only download when on a WiFi network, in case you have a limited data plan.Once you install and run it, tap the screen to bring up the status overlay, or hit the menu button to see the main commands, including the preferences where you can change the speed (FPS).By default the speed is set to slow so its not too distracting and doesnt use too much battery. If you want it to go faster, use the preferences. You can also set it to stop running when your battery gets low.Note: the sheep that you download are saved on your SD card. You can back them up yourself, and share them among your devices. But if a device is wiped, the sheep on it are lost. Have loved this app since I was in highschool. Best screensaver ever.
Loved the screensaver before it was ever on my phone but this is not the same quality...it could be and I hope that it will be . Nowhere near the level of detail nor versatility as is on computer . Phones are powerful enough to handle it ..why not bring the spirit of what made electric sheep so popular and innovate this unique fractal experience!
Nice implementation of Electric Sheep. So far it seems to be pretty light on battery usage, even when used as a live wallpaper.
Legendary background app. I wish someone would update it now and again, though.
I thought 100 credits was fair enough to start, but I now have 0 credits remaining and only 79 sheep in my flock. The animations that get voted down seem to have been removed. I paid for the app and the animated wallpaper. Those purchases have been automatically deleted by the software and I have to pay for more credits now. This is the slimiest business practice I've seen in the Android Market so far. Great app aside from gouging and robbing me.
