Messages send maybe 5% of the time for me
Couldn't cope with dropped messages, not being able to send pictures and not having functionality across multiple devices for the same usename. Had to uninstall and switch to a more relaiable app.
Great alternative to WhatsApp with better privicy... Thats what i wrote about a tear ago. Its so unrelyable now with angrowing number if bugs. Try something else as youll only be frustrated and disapointed. The testing is poor. The latest release yesterday has fixed one bug but ibtroduced a load more. The idea of jami is a great one but its far to unreliable. Check out ther bug list on their forum.
For people who complain about it not working or messages not being delivered instantly. 1. Disable DHT proxy 2. Disable push notification 3. Enable Jami to be run in back ground. 4. Visit your phone's battery optimisation and make sure Jami is not optimised for battery - if not the phone will kill the app and when you reopen the app to send - nothing happens 5. Enable TURN 6. Disable STUN After doing all this - it will work like a charm unless you have some other network issues. There are bugs but the app is stable and does the job. For people complaining about images/files not being transferred - drag and drop doesn't work - it is a known bug. So as a work around you can go to the file using file explorer on Android choose the file and share using Jami - this works.

Probably the worst messaging app I have ever used. If you value privacy, use Element. I have never before used a messaging app that forces me to make a new account every 10 minutes just so my messages go through. Avoid for the next year at least.
