The app automatically finds the best fare for your journey and will even remember what you looked at to make it easy next time. Our real-time information comes fresh from National Rail Enquiries and lets you check any train service in Great Britain, including ours. You can see the departure times, platforms (for most places), and check how trains are running at any National Rail station. We’re proud to provide local and regional services with more than 2,500 trains every day operating at over 500 stations in the North of England.We will continue to develop our app to make buying a ticket and travelling on our services as easy as possible. Trying to book my advance tickets for work and app just spins around so is useless
Quick and easy
Much better than Trainline - no service charges on tickets. Could make it clearer when a replacement bus service is running on a route (it's there I just think it's easy to miss)

How come I can buy an e-ticket using the National Rail app (which is viewed in the Northern app) but if I try to but the video same ticket via Northern I only have the option to collect at station? I used to be able to buy e-tickets but not anymore
Not a bad app generally. But this has twice logged me out as I am a few meters from the barrier, right before my (commuting) train is due to depart. Caused me to miss it once and almost twice.
