Begin monitoring your vision at home using the mVT® Service. If you have, or are at high-risk for, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) or Diabetic Eye Disease, you may benefit from Home Vision Monitoring.

Ask your licensed eye-care professional for a prescription.

Vital Art and Science, LLC has developed the mVT® Service for patients with maculopathy who are interested in monitoring their vision at home in-between office visits with their Ophthalmologist, Retina Specialist, and Optometrist. The purpose of mVT® Service is to detect early vision changes related to retinal diseases which is critical for the expedient treatment of these diseases and better patient outcome.

The Home Vision Monitoring App (mVT®) is an FDA Cleared Ophthalmic Medical Device, available on an Apple iPad®, iPhone®, or iPod®. Patients test twice a week and any change in vision function will trigger an ‘Alert’ to their eye-care professional, allowing for earlier assessment and possible therapy.

The mVT® Service is intended for the detection and characterization of central three degrees metamorphopsia (visual distortion) in patients with maculopathy, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, and as an aid in monitoring disease factors causing metamorphopsia. It is intended to be used by patients who have the capability to regularly perform a simple self-test at home.

Ask your licensed eye-care professional if Home Vision Monitoring is right for you.*Certain functions and uses may not be applicable to clinical study patients.*Fix for adding new devices.

East simple setup and easy to use.

Instead of helping people they decided to make this test prescription only. For no reason at all, just to make it unavailable for the majority of people living on this planet in many countries, having macular degeneration and other retinal diseases. I wish many people give further negative reviews until they change their policy, to the benefit of sick people and to the benefit of themselves earning money.

The effect of this app is to REDUCE the income of a doctor. Seriously: mVT asks doctors to pay in order to equip patients with an app that helps avoiding visits. Don't believe it? Google for "multibit" and for the sentence "“The superior quality of the tests enables the app usage to replace many patient visits, liberate hospital resources, ...”. Multibit is like mVT, but developed by Swedish researchers. mVT should be available to patients w/o prescription and give feedback directly to them!

This App is out for the money requiring a script doctors have to pay for? They should have taken it to a non profit humanitarian company for funding to help people, or given it to the Israelis to improve on and make for everyone. Or fund through UC Berkeley low vision dept. It's a shame my doctors wouldn't get involved.
