All to often, this app has trouble operating at a reasonable speed. On more occasions than not, you are just left with a never-ending donut going round and round or, a blank screen that just jumps back to the selection page. I have given 3 stars in the hope that the downloading issues are resolved at the next update. Otherwise it should lose at least two of those stars as, it is easier to walk up to half a mile to the shop to buy the actual paper. At present, this is a very frustrating app but, the potential is there. After several weeks of perseverance, due to the pathetic performance of this app, I have revised my original 3 star rating down to 2 stars. Don't bother with this app. Go and buy a paper (any paper) instead - it is far less hassel, even if you have have to walk through the snow to get it.

*Stop Press* It seems the devs have sorted the bugs out. As of Dec 2014 update no more crashes and faster automatic downloads. Two stars up to five now. Well done. ---- Previous review ---- It's good to be able to read the Mail, but this app crashes several times with every read, and sometimes when downloading the latest edition. It's a good job it's free, but frustrating all the same. Sort it out.

It doesn't work on smartphones. And on a tablet you now need to pay a subscription to download the day's paper. It used to be free!
