The app analyzes a given flight path and caches relevant map data and points of interest (POI), and displays these data during the flight, without in-flight wifi. By downloading only the data relevant to a particular flight path, cache sizes remain reasonable, allowing for a robust experience without an internet connection. Enjoy while in the air just doesn't work if no wifi on plane. Thought from when I read before install would acquire GPS w/o internet connect.
Very nice app
This app is good I have been monitoring the app over a 2 hour flight and it pretty much showed everything except the Speed which wasn't accurate , altitude GPS location where all correct using the offline map which I ve already saved.
This app is great. My only quibble is that the downloads are very slow. You have to remember to get the maps well before you fly.
Failed to display air speed at times. Should have shown 595mph, but said 0mph. Be nice to download higher resolution maps.
