Its decent but very freemium. $2 to remove ads is alright but pushes other in game purchases, like $9 asteroid belts and $30 spaceships. Some of the achievements require buying things, like the asteroid achievements. As far as a walking app goes its pretty decent. My button monkey is happy with watching my planets grow up and help contribute to my labmates.
Good reason to walk, but their account system will wipe all progress made without asking, if signed into a phone without an account attached yet.
The theory of this game is that it should reward me for walking. It does do that but you can also play it in a very lazy and passive way, which is how I spent the winter. I'm hoping I can actually make use of the walking rewards as the weather warms up. The game could use a little localization work for the US, but it's very playable. I paid for the one time ad removal upgrade so I wouldn't be bothered, but the ad service they use here is one of most user friendly I've seen in a game.
I love this game to keep me motivated! My whole family uses it now.
Love it so far! The graphics and music are wonderful and it encourages walking while actually feeling like a game, instead of just a glorified pedometer. It would be great it the alien tasks reset at midnight instead of being on a 24hr timer. That would make is easier to do it every day.
Great incentive to go on walks daily!
