Breakthrough DTS Play-Fi(R) technology powers simple, great-sounding whole-home wireless audio systems for smartphones and tablets. You can stream your favorite tunes over Wi-Fi right from the Play-Fi app to speakers from DTS Play-Fi product partners. Its a huge step up from Bluetooth - the audio quality and reliability are outstanding, and you can enjoy music from your phone in one room, or all your rooms. The "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" listening experience is just a touch away, thanks to this handy app. Choose a speaker, choose a song, and your favorite tunes are streaming all through the house. The app offers built-in streaming options: stream from worldwide music services such as Tidal and Deezer; use AM/FM and Internet radio, connect to DLNA servers, or play anything from your devices’ music library, including your playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you.The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, or stream to all of them at once.IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a Play-Fi product from Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Wren, or Phorus, please search for and download the custom Play-Fi app for your audio brand. Please also note that the Play-Fi app is companion software to audio products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.- Now Playing screen updated! An enhanced look with improved controls for a better music listening experience- When browsing tracks in Amazon Music, Qobuz, and TIDAL, you can now see the audio quality prior to playback- Amazon Music now supports Shuffle and Play Queue- Tidal menu and browsing has been updated- Transfers and Presets now support Critical Listening mode- Various fixes and improvements for Stream From, iHeartRadio, and more

This app is a horrible attempt at a money grab, and frankly there's no reason for it. Devices should natively support streaming, not through a third party app, frankly this app won't be supported in five years and your device will be reduced in its ability to stream music. Many people are having problems maintaining a connection to their amplifiers (from different manufacturers) while using this app. Reaching out to tech support didn't yeild a response.

Should support mainstream music providers I.e google music ,apple product,YouTube. Still no major improvements to this software. When you pay this amount of money. This app should be flawless.

Honestly not impressed. It streams THROUGH your phone by default. If you want the device to take over you have to play, then click transfer button. When streaming from the phone (the default) it's VERY susceptible to what else the phone is doing. Eg background tasks, if you're browsing on chrome. If the phone is doing anything other than stream the stream breaks up. I've ended up taking an old phone of mine, uninstalling/disabling everything on it and use that. Really poor.

My experience is hugely positive with this app. Use it with the audiolab 6000a play and it's been great. No drop out or anything. Works great with Amazon, Tidal and Quboz but I only use for one hi fi set up, not interested in multiple rooms. Only criticisms so far are the album art is far too large and no info in regards to individual albums or artists but hardly a Biggie. Anyway, more than happy with this, thank you!

When it works it's OK... it rarely does. Resetting due to power failure. Etc is an absolute nightmare ...

Please add Roon then it would be perfect!

I don't have Wi-Fi. Worthless app, forces you to use Wi-Fi instead of data.
