Vulture Island is a platform adventure with a distinct focus on exploration to tickle your curiosity.Rather than stacking up high scores and running towards the end of each level, you get to roam freely in an open world and explore caves, swamps, temples, pirate ships and more. You collect objects along your way, solve puzzles and talk to NPCs, all while being wrapped inside the platform gameplay mechanism we all have to come to love since the golden era of 8-bit computers and consoles.Vulture Island has been awarded the Pocket Gamer Gold Award.THE PLOTBenjamin has built a spectacular flying machine to take him and his friends around the world.During one of the first flight sessions something goes wrong. The youngsters have no choice but to parachute themselves to safety. After an exhausting swim Alex, Paul and Stella end up on a distant island. Barehanded and with no trace of Benjamin.GAME FEATURES* Non-linear gameplay: Explore the island freely* Non-destructive gameplay: When failing, youre simply thrown back to the overview map instead of losing all progress* Interact with characters, trade tools and help each other* Collect items to your inventory* Solve puzzles* Battle enemies & bosses- Revised in-game dialogs to allow for a lower ESRB rating- Improved support for screens with inset- Bug fixes

This, along with their other title "Traps N Gemstones", are among my favorite games. They have taken great retro graphics and gameplay and made the controls perfect for a touch screen. Just enough control without overcomplicating things. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed classic platformers!

Traps n Gemstones was a fresh change from a dev that's been making fantastic games for a while now. Vulture Island is a similar departure from Donut's usual fare, but it's refreshing and unique in the best ways. I absolutely love it. One part adventure game, one part platformer. Vulture Island makes me hope this is the birth of a brand new amazing genre. I want more!!

Nice platformer quest

This game is almost perfect. I just wish it had much tighter controls. Possibly a setting for tighter controls for those who want it.

All the gushing reviews online made me buy this. I just don't like it though. You bounce on enemies rather than deal damage. The game gave me bananas to throw which I have no idea what they do. Enemies just burst out projectiles with no warning animation so you bounce off an enemy, land next to them and instantly get killed. Controls are good for a touch screen tho.

Terrible game and a total rip off.

Save your money; this game isn't complete. The weapon you start with (a banana) does not work against your enemies; it just passes through them. Also, instead of pressing the action button to talk to someone, or open a door, you have to tap on what ever you are interacting with; that could be anywhere on-screen.
