I came across Curiosity through my Amazon Prime. I was looking to cancel my Prime and was happy to pay for Curiosity. However... The stream from Curiosity is all choppy and laggy. Video plays perfect through my Prime but video is awful playing through Curiosity app. I would like to know why. I have no issues with any of my streaming apps apart from Curiosity. I was looking forward to paying a subscription for this but not if its very laggy. Is it laggy because i'm just browsing or is it always laggy and choppy? Devs please respond.
The app works really bad with Philips Android TV, the series are unusable. With my laptop I can watch the titles just fine with same connection. I expect CuriosityStream to fix their app, since you are already loosing money as I'm not your 4K subscriber due that.
Did not let me login Nvidia Shield. They resolved the issue fast. This service is an Excellent source for education programs. You stick to cable "Science Channels?" often are all UFO reality shows.... Not Science. This is commercial free too.
I was incredibly excited about this app. But it was always buffering and choppy. If I did manage to get a selection to play, it would pause every five minutes to catch up. Just canceled my subscription.
The content catalogue seems great, but the viewing experience cannot be worse. Low res, buffer every few seconds. With luck, I can play 1 or 2 episodes before and goes back to being choppy again. My internet connection is fine, I can watch Netflix, Youtube, Vimeo and others in HD without any problem. I still on trial for now, but if this keep up, I will not renew my subscription.
What a great idea with poor delivery. This app is terrible. I looked at the other reviews and hoped it wouldn't happen to me. Now a days you will loose your customer base for such a bad app. I love curiosity, but don't go telling your customer reviews to change setting and it will fix it. This is an internal problem that needs to be fixed from the server.
