No ano de 2003, inspirado pela Exortação Apostólica do Papa João Paulo II, Pastores Dabo Vobis (1992), Padre Reginaldo Manzotti sentiu em seu coração o desejo de iniciar um projeto evangelizador que atendesse ao apelo do Pontífice: uma nova evangelização, com “novo ardor e novos métodos”. Em 2004, o projeto começa a prosperar com a possibilidade de evangelização pelos meios de comunicação, com o programa “Experiência de Deus”, na Rádio Clube AM, em Curitiba. No ano de 2005, o projeto se consolida e é fundada a Associação Evangelizar É Preciso, que, depois de 13 anos, em uma nova fase de amadurecimento do trabalho, passou a se chamar apenas Associação Evangelizar.A Obra é uma instituição sem fins lucrativos, mantida por meio da contribuição de cada associado, e atua com o propósito de evangelizar a todos pelos meios de comunicação por meio da Palavra, da oração e do serviço: a Boa-Nova, fortalecendo a fé e a esperança de todas as pessoas. A Evangelizar conta com o apoio da Arquidiocese de Curitiba, abraçou a devoção a Jesus das Santas Chagas e é abençoada por Nossa Senhora do Carmo, madrinha da Obra, São Pio de Pietrelcina e São José. É considerada benfeitora, pois oferece conteúdo gratuito pelos meios de comunicação para todo o Brasil e outros países, além de realizar anualmente diversos eventos evangelizadores em todas as regiões do País. A TV Evangelizar conta com programação jornalística, católica, cultural einformativa 24 horas por dia. As frequências AM e FM, além das melhores músicas católicas, têm suas pautas jornalísticas trabalhadas com foco em informações, assuntos religiosos, prestação de contas e muito mais. A Associação também tem crescido cada vez mais pelas redes sociais, comoInstagram, Facebook e YouTube, oferecendo conteúdo de fé para as famílias.
