Basketball Scorebook is a comprehensive hand-held basketball scoring system. Basketball Scorebook allows you to score and gather stats for basketball games as they are played. Game stats and shooting charts are available for teams, players and games by team, player or game. Score keeping has never been easier.The application requires permission to write to your SD card to create files containing statistics in CSV, HTML, and MaxPreps TXT formats and shooting charts in JPEG format that can be saved and later sent through email.The application supports actual minutes played using check-in and check-out times.The application is available in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Translations were done using Google Translate. Overall it is very functional and I would recommend but I think with a little tweaking especially on the Substitution function which in my opinion is its Achilles heel it could be something really really good. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it doesn't effectively use all the available screen. I used it to score a high school basketball game and the SUB function just isn't designed well yet. The UI could use some graphical aesthetics and not be so elementary bland but overall an excellent start so far.
All the functionality you need to keep basketball stats. Not intuitive and cumbersome to add games, teams, and players. Keeping stats is fast and easy, but could use easier way to undo mistakes. Substitutions are much improved in the latest release. Overall, very good app for the price.
I agree with several of the other reviews that this app is a great start. The functionality is all there but the usability lacks in some areas. With scorekeeping you need to do everything fast and there are a few things that slow you down. Overall its a great app though and I look forward to updates.
Works great. Used it for sons game worked great and sent stats to coach.
How do you start & stop the clock?
This app does a good job of keeping stats during a game. I wish it would send individual shot chart when it sends team stats. I also wish it were a little more intuitive during the game. For instance when a bucket is scored it should light up the assist button. When a bucket is missed it should light up the rebound button. Those are not deal killers though. It is a very good app.
