This is the smartphone control app for Pulse. Pulse is a device that attaches to your Canon or Nikon DSLR and allows you to wirelessly take photos, videos and time-lapses from your phone or tablet and get instant feedback. With Pulse you get complete creative control all while staying free to use your phone or tablet. From the mountains to the studio Pulse handles everything from your biggest projects to impromptu street photography. With its small size and intuitive features, youll never want to leave it behind.Pulse Features : -Wirelessly control ISO, shutter speed and aperture from up to 100 feet-Receive image thumbnails and histograms within seconds-Take Holy Grail timelapses with exposure ramping-Control up to 3 Pulses at once-Free up WiFi and Internet as Pulse uses Bluetooth and BLE -Extend your session with 24 hours of battery (USB rechargeable)- Improved Bluetooth reliability- ISO Ramp- Bulb Ramp- Unbalanced HDR (Beta)- Multi-camera (Beta)

this may help with the firmware update problems.  turn on the experimental ble connection.  connect pulse.  start firmware update.  it will fail, or stall at 0 or 1 %.  turn off pulse.  go to devices and forget pulse.  turn on pulse and scan and connect.  firmware update resumes automatically and actually finishes

Did not work on a Samsung 7

I find this to be the best way to control a camera for time lapse sequences. It's easy to use and reliable when used correctly.

The app and device had a lot of problems when I first got them (the phone lost the connection with the device and the device lost the connection with the camera). After a couple of firmware and app updates both now work reliably and as expected. There is however one problem that I have noticed recently (but haven't had time to report) and that is that the exposure ramping fails if one reconnects to the device after first disconnecting the phone (by moving far enough away). It also seems to be connected to setting a delay on starting the timelapse. Will report it once I have had time to investigate a bit more.

Curious why the preview is only a square. Not very helpful in composing images.

Bought from alpine labs only to be informed after a month of me chasing my order that the item is out of stock and may never be back in stock. Happy to take my money though. Poor customer service.

Update October 2nd: No replies, no help... I feel I got robbed. - Samsung S8+ was able to get Pulse connected via Bluetooth but the app doesn't connect to my Nikon D7200 Camera, keeps showing "No Camera". Set everying to manual and no luck. Submitted a "Bug Report" via the app. Top of the line phone with a top of the line dx camera and it doesn't work... I hope this gets fixed or I want my money back.
