ABR allows you to listen airband frequencies as a conventional airband Radio. To work correctly this apps requires an external Realtek RTL2832U Radio Dongle connected on usb port using an OTG cable and the installation of the RTL2832 driver (driver of Martin Marinov to be installed from Play Store). The best performances can be obtained by using an antenna tuned to airband frequencies (118-136MHz). I think most of the one and two star reviews are from people who don't understand what this does. This is receiving the communications local to the device, this needs a radio, hence the SDR dongle. The traditional way of doing this needed a raspberry pi or a Linux PC, rtl-sdr, and a lot of configuration. This makes the process easy. Where it scores over internet based apps like LiveATC is that you can use it in places like the UK where uploading is illegal. Good for training radcom skills. Would really appreciate saving of channels

Comparing with my R7000, signal becomes very weak. Very noisy.

nice

This a piece of junk. Tried it on 2 different cell phones beside an airplane at best a faint signal. It just doesn't work.

You have to buy extra equipment

Good app, does what it says, but a couple of things. 1. For those who don't know the correct airband frequency to type in it is hard. A seek or scan mode or even a channelised mode would really help. 2. Would be great if this 'reciever' could take advantage of the full frequency range of the RTL dongle and not just be locked to the airband frequencies. (i know there are other sdr apps, but i like this apps interface)

I love
