This application is extremely useful for anyone who needs to have any type of server support, for example VNC, SFTP, SSH, etc. There are countless others and this application is easily worth every penny. UPDATE: 2019: The developers have created a solid product with countless plug-ins that provide for a fantastic array of different server types. A must have for any power user.

This app looks impressive and has some excellent potential capabilities. I bought it for one purpose - an FTP server. Unfortunately there are significant unresolved issues. Problem 1: The FTP server does not allow write access to ExtSDcard storage. First Reported in 2019 and never resolved - since then new phone does not have SD so no longer an issue. Problem 2: High battery consumption if the app is left running - have to remember to manually shut down. Problem 3: The FTP server doesn't properly support timestamps, so date/times are not preserved and synchronization is impossible. Reported - no response for years. Serious problem 4: SMB server only supports SMBv1 - obsolete, insecure, and deprecated - SMB1 not supported by Windows. Problem 5 - tried WEBDAV - does not work at all. So much potential, but always falls short... Waiting for these fixes for several years - nothing. No response to email.

The recent update did not include the fix for the extSDcard issue because this was a mandatory one otherwise Google would have stopped the app altogether due to changes. we are working on an update for that. Concerning the power use, we create our apps to be as energy conservative as possible. Apologies for inconvenience caused.

Used to be great, but stopped working some years back (I assume due to changes in how Android works.) Now it can't save settings, open ports, etc etc. Essentially worthless. It was incredibly useful, so I really hope it gets picked back up by the author or someone reputable someday, but meanwhile I've had to move on to other not nearly as good software options for what this used to be.
