Sintaf Ceará

Syntaf was founded on December 17, 1988 by a group of courageous and visionary farmers.

They sought to build a strong entity that would fight for the rights of the entire category.

Each negotiation, clash, mobilization and strike made Sintaf what it is today: a struggle union, recognized at the state and national level for its performance.

With a track record of 32 years, Sintof celebrates its most recent achievements: the regulation of the salary cap for all State employees and the incorporation of 62% of the PDF floor to the salaries and earnings of farmers, at the same time as it wields important flags, as in the Organic Law of Finance Administration (LOAF).

Performance and achievements
By adopting the line of struggle, transparency and dialogue, Sintaf has been achieving political recognition and the Government's attention to the farmers' claims. There are countless achievements throughout its history.

The first major victory was the approval of the 1st Plan for Positions and Careers (PCC) for the category, in 1994, in which all farm workers were included in the TAF group, as a result of the historic strike of 1991. Other more recent achievements are: the redenomination of the positions of Analyst; the higher education requirement as a condition for entering the farm career; the Constitutional Amendment that recognizes the Treasury Administration as an essential institution for the functioning of the State and ensures administrative, functional, budgetary and financial autonomy, providing for the creation of the Organic Law on Treasury Administration; the extension of the Life Risk Bonus to all members of the TAF Group; the regulation of the salary cap for state servants.

Syntaf's objective is to defend rights and expand achievements, always seeking to value farmers, good working conditions, secure remuneration and dignified retirement.

With this, it contributes to the construction of a more stable financial administration, where farmers can more efficiently carry out their mission of taxing, collecting and inspecting financial resources for the sustainable development of the State, better managing state public finances. In the end, society wins, with more resources for education, health, sanitation, security and other areas of State action.

union struggles
The active participation of Sintaf in the Unified Forum of Associations and Unions of State Public Servants of Ceará (Fuaspec) contributes to strengthening the struggles of state servants, resulting in considerable advances in the various categories. Syntaf is also part of major national discussions and decisions. That is why it actively participates in the Deliberative Council of the National Federation of State and District Tax Authorities (Fenafisco), together with other affiliated unions.

Unity is strength
Syntaf gained greater political strength with the union with the Association of Retired Farmers (AAFEC), made official in July 2010. At the time, the struggle for a unified floor consecrated this union, mobilizing the entire category around the election. However, much more can be achieved with the adhesion of more farmers, active and retired.

The Union also encourages research and supports large projects, such as the Sintaf Foundation and the Poverty Studies Laboratory (LEP). The Sintaf Foundation is a teaching and research institution that was established by the Union in February 2008. The entity develops technical, scientific, cultural and socio-environmental responsibility actions with the private sector, other third sector organizations and the public administration. .
