The Wind & Weather Meter app works with the WeatherFlow WINDmeter and the WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter -- available for purchase at retailers online and offline. When paired with a WeatherFlow meter, this free app allows you to take & share weather reports from your exact location. Capture highly accurate weather data, including wind speed (average, gust and lull), wind direction, air temperature, humidity and pressure. The app also give you values such as wind chill, heat index, apparent wind, crosswind, tailwind, dew point, air density and more. App does not run in the background, so if you need to leave the screen or any reason it disconnects. Then you need to physically press the power button on the unit to turn it back on and then tap connect in the app. If I turn it on, I want it to stay on! My Kestrel DROP doesn't do this. I don't have to go to the device and press the power button to connect to it BLE, nor does the app stop working if I switch to another app. Also, they make it hard to see ALL the data fields at once.

The weatherflow meter doesn't seem to be working. The wind readings are correct, but the temperature is off and it wont calibrate. I breathed on the meter and the temp never got above 74. I went outside,when it was 34 deg and the meter never got below 50. The calibrate option only appears when the meter is disconnected or off. I've tried other apps and they won't calibrate either. I have a Samsung S8. I did try the app on a iOS and it did the same. I'm thinking it's the meter. Please help.

Pretty barebones. Unlike others my app paired just fine with the device, but the instructions on how to physically hold the device (logo facing toward you, you facing the wind) were hidden in the FAQs with no tutorial. Also, there's no real exporting of data (the "share" feature is kind of a joke) and no obvious way to attach GPS data to the reports, which makes this mostly a toy app. For a $60 device whose app lets you select "work" as your reason for use, I'd expect more data handling options.
